Bergerat RENT delivers TotalEnergies' HVO100 renewable fuel to its customers

Op 12 december 2024

Bergerat RENT is committed to a carbon footprint reduction plan and supports its clients in their decarbonisation process.

From the end of 2021, 15% of the machines rented by Bergerat RENT will use HVO100 and the entire fleet of equipment will be supplied with HVO100 from 2022 (as a reminder, between June 2020 and June 2021, more than 12 million litres of fuel was consumed by Bergerat RENT customers’ construction equipment). TotalEnergies will supply the 9 B
ergerat RENT branches to meet their fuel needs.

With CO2 emissions reduced by at least 50% over its entire life cycle compared with a standard fuel*, HVO100 is an alternative to conventional diesel fuel without any adaptation to the engine, making a direct contribution to the fight against climate change. Perfectly miscible with standard diesel fuel, HVO100 offers driving comfort comparable to that of conventional fuel and requires no specific adaptation or maintenance. This 100% renewable fuel is produced from various bio-based raw materials, residues and waste.

Since June 2021, Services Techniques Alpins (STA), a company specialising in earthworks, have been one of Bergerat RENT’s first customers to benefit from these new machines and work site equipment
compatible with biofuels. Indeed, decarbonisation has become a necessity for all the actors of the construction sector and by proposing NextGen machines to its customers, Bergerat RENT offers them precious tools in the acceleration of their approach.

*This biofuel is certified sustainable in accordance with the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive and meets the EN15940 standard.

"Bergerat RENT is committed to decarbonisation and continues to explore innovative solutions to meet its customers’ environmental challenges. After the availability of the operating data of the Rental Equipments, the Bergerat RENT fleet is composed of NextGen machines contributing to the best control of the ecological performances of the Rental Equipments and to reduce the CO2 emissions on the building sites by delivering with a full tank of HVO100.”

"TotalEnergies Marketing France supports its customers in their energy transition by offering solutions tailored to their needs. The HVO100 is one of the solutions offered to our professional customers to reduce their CO2 emissions. Our technical teams are working on a daily basis to increase the number of HVO100 resource points and develop the local network across our territory. Our aim is to serve all our business customers in France through detailed logistics.”

"Reducing CO2 emissions from our machinery is a major concern for the company. Bergerat RENT’s initiative comes at the perfect time for us.”
